Charity
Guide Dogs of America
in Sylmar, California is the official non-profit charity organization
supported by the vendor partners of Pet Industry Retailers (PIR).

Guide Dogs of America (GDA)
provides highly-trained service dogs for sight-impaired people around the
United States and Canada
at no cost to the recipients. GDA is funded entirely by private
donations, and does not receive any government funding. And, by the
time the dogs have completed their training at nearly two years of age, GDA guide dogs are worth up to $40,000 each from breeding to graduation.
Thousands of people from
around Southern California attend the annual one-day Open House & Silent
Auction every June to help GDA raise money for their guide dog program.
If you are a pet industry vendor, and have any products you can donate to
this year's auction, it’s an excellent opportunity for exposure to a
targeted dog-loving audience. Following is more information on this
event...
